Bridging the Gap is the media and communications ministry of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, and its vision is to share God's Word so that Christians are equipped for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12) and so that they share their faith effectively with others (Matthew 28:19-20).
Bridging the Gap features the teaching of Lloyd Pulley, pastor of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, and is comprised of a radio broadcast, a book publishing division, media distribution, Internet presence, and Podcasting. Each aspect of the ministry reflects the mission of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge to win people to Christ, build them up in Him, and send them out for Him.
The Bridging the Gap radio program began in 1994 with a shortwave broadcast airing Pastor Lloyd's messages into Europe. Shortly after, the ministry began airing Pastor Lloyd's teaching in the New York area.
Today, Bridging the Gap is heard on stations throughout the Tri-state area, the United States, and abroad. Bridging the Gap is also heard worldwide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online at www.bridgegap.org.
Today, Pastor Lloyd will take us back to the book of Second Peter as he continues his verse by verse study through this important letter. In chapter two, Peter speaks of the dangers of false doctrine - both for the giver and the receiver. Is there anything wrong with reading scripture and deciding for yourself exactly what it means? Is the Bible so vague that we all can just come to our own understanding of what God is saying to us? There are plenty of people who think that way, but to do so is dangerous - even deadly.
SCRIPTURE: 2 Peter 2:10-14
