God has strategically placed Moses in Egypt where, in anger, he strikes down an Egyptian. Moses has a calling but he needs spiritual development. So, for the next 40 years, Moses receives an education in the desert of Midian that prepares him for an encounter with God. In this encounter at the burning bush, Moses hears the LORD say that he has seen the suffering and sorrow of the Hebrews. The LORD instructs Moses what he is to do; thus begins the process of learning to surrender his will to the great I AM.
