Happiness seems to be a universal pursuit, and all too often it evades us.

The reason is that happiness depends on circumstances - when things go well, we are happy. When things go south, we become distressed and despondent.

And yet, God has something far greater for us than fleeting happiness. God wants us to have true, abiding JOY. The secret to that joy lies not in our circumstances, as with happiness, but rather in our position in Christ.
