For a book that's 2500 years old, Habakkuk is still contemporary today. Here, Habakkuk asks the Lord why He seems not to hear the peoples' call for help. God's answer troubles Habakkuk and the ensuing dialogue reminds us of ourselves. Will we get bitter when God's answer isn't what we wanted or will we wait on Him in obedience? How do we learn God's viewpoint for the situations we face? When we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, there is a bigger picture to see; it is not about what's going on but about who God is.
