Matthew writes his gospel primarily to the Jewish audience and begins in this second chapter with the star which the magi followed to Bethlehem. Drawing from passages in the book of Micah and Isaiah, Pastor Lloyd examines the prophecies pertaining to Jesus and his birth. Zeroing in on the, "tower of the flock," and the reference of the angels to the swaddling cloths, we learn why it is that the shepherds knew exactly where to find the baby Jesus.
