"Love is patient, love is kind," we read in 1 Corinthians 13. Why is it so hard to practice this in a marriage relationship with the one you love? In Colossians, chapter three, we find a context for love which requires just one thing: putting on Christ. In doing this, we must put off the old self and its selfishness. As we put on Christ, we learn this job is never finished but as we grow more like Him, the marriage relationship blossoms.
